Heidi Kaloustian is a writer and visual artist.

She holds an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, where she served as the fiction editor of the Iowa Review.

Her fiction has received numerous awards and honors, including a Schulze Fellowship for a first novel and a Kresge Fellowship in the Literary Arts. In 2005, she was named a Davidson Fellow Laureate of Literature. She teaches creative writing and has been an instructor at the University of Iowa and Interlochen Center for the Arts.

Her chapbooks and collages have been exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD), The Art Book Review, The Los Angeles Contemporary Archive (LACA), ART-X, and Pop-Up Detroit. She received a Artist Grant from Midtown Detroit, Inc.

She has produced two limited edition chapbooks, Black Sun and A Living.

Heidi lives and works in Detroit.
